I’m Bharat Prabhakar, a part-time graduate student at Georgia Institute of Technology. I’m currently pursuing my Masters of Science in Computer Science with a specialisation in Machine Learning remotely from India.

If you’d met me four years ago, I would have told you that I was going to become a film-maker. And here I am now, immersing myself in the beautiful world of mathematics, trying to make computers smarter one algorithm at a time. It’s an extremely interesting story about how I ended up where I am at this moment in my life, one I’d love to talk about over a cup of home brewed tea. But that’s for another day and this is about my latest indulgence – machine learning.

In Arthur C. Clarke’s words, “Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic”. In my opinion, machine learning, also popularly known by the acronym ML, as a broad discipline is best poised to create that magic at the moment, and I want to be an integral part of that. This blog is my attempt at sharing my experiments on my journey towards understanding the subject better.
